Bishop Museum

The Bishop Museum is Hawaiʻi’s museum of natural and cultural history. Originally built to house the extensive collection of Hawaiian artifacts and royal family heirlooms of Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop, the Museum has since expanded to include millions of artifacts, documents, and photos about Hawaii and other Pacific cultures. Daily programs allow visitors to discover more about Hawaiian and Polynesian cultures through live, interactive presentations and exhibit tours. Planetarium shows showcase Polynesian skies and how voyagers navigated using the stars to sail the Pacific. The Science Adventure Center offers visitors interactive experiences related directly to Hawaii’s unique natural environment. Experience our familiar Ka’a’awa Valley, known as Hollywood’s “Hawaii Backlot,” to see where over 50 of Hollywood’s biggest blockbuster movies and TV shows were filmed, including even some of the 1960’s Elvis classics. Hop aboard one of Kualoa Ranch’s vintage school buses and take a photo of yourself at the infamous Jurassic Park fallen tree, find Godzilla’s footprints, see the Windtalkers battlegrounds and visit several other locations including the famous “penguin” road site from 50 First Dates, the road site from You Me & Dupree, the house structure from Mighty Joe Young, and numerous Hawaii Five-0 and LOST areas, like Hurley’s golf course! You might even see a filming in progress! You will also stop at an amazing WWII army bunker, built entirely into the side of the mountain range. There you’ll find movie posters, props and memorabilia from lots of the movies filmed at Kualoa through the years, as well as marvel at the Kualoa WWII artifacts and exhibits.

Jump on board for an adventurous and rugged Jungle Jeep tour deep into our beautiful Hakipu`u Jurassic rainforest. This lush and tropical valley is where many of the Jurassic World, Kong Skull Island, and Jumanji scenes were filmed. Guests board one of Kualoa Ranch’s custom built, 16 passenger jungle vehicles for a 90 minute tour that rumbles through our Hawaiian rainforest along jungle trails, across isolated stream beds and powers up steep, bumpy hills. On this tour you will also see a few famous movie site locations and sets (from Jurassic World) and a few other surprises!

Kualoa Ranch: Taste of Kualoa Farm Tour

One free adult admission to the Taste of Kualoa Farm Tour per unit, per paid night stay. Offered Year-round.

This tour allows guests to celebrate the beauty and tranquility of one of Oahu’s most well-preserved and ancient Hawaiian fishponds (Moli’i), which is carbon-dated at between 800 and 1,000 years old. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places by the United States Department of the Interior, you’ll get to learn about early Hawaiian aquaculture practices and how fish was farmed in this 153-acre actively farmed fishpond, which is still standing with much of the original stonewall infrastructure in place. Guests will travel on a Trolley Car to explore the tropical fruit and flower gardens of Moli’i along the shores fronting our “Secret Island.” Admire the accomplishments of the early Hawaiians as the rich stories of the voyaging canoe and ancient fishpond unfold. You’ll also be able to taste some of the fruits along the way, depending upon the season.

Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum

The mission of Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum is to steward America’s first aviation battlefield of World War II by sharing the artifacts, personal stories, and the impact and response to the December 7, 1941 attack and the Pacific region battles that followed. We honor those who have defended our freedom so we might educate and inspire future generations. The museum houses over 75 years of Pacific aviation history and your admission grants you full access to over 50 aircraft as well as all exhibits, including WWII Hangars 37 & 79, MiG Alley, historical videos, the Museum Store, and Laniakea Café.
