Deep Creek Lodge: Tube Rental

Outdoor recreation like tubing has been a mainstay to Bryson City, NC and The Great Smoky Mountains National Park for as long as people have been visiting. Deep Creek Lodge has the widest selection of tubes for all sizes including young children. Tubing on Deep Creek is a must for your visit to Western North Carolina and is a fun outdoor experience you will never forget!

Timber Axe Throwing

Looking for something fun to do? Axe throwing at Timber Axe is fun for everyone! Axe throwing is an adrenaline rush and a combination of darts and bowling. You are going to have an AXEllent time at Timber Axe! No experience is required, knowledgeable coaches will teach you everything you need to know and the safety procedures before you get started.

What you need to know
  • Located 1 Hour from Asheville.
  • Minimum 2 guests to reserve a lane, maximum of 5 guests per lane.
  • Open Thursday through Sunday, hours vary.
    • Thursday: 5pm – 10pm
    • Friday: 5pm – 11pm
    • Saturday: 1pm – 11pm
    • Sunday: 1pm – 8pm
  • Highly recommend close-toed shoes and no high heels (safety first!). Other than that, just dress comfy! Plaid is highly encouraged!
  • Please bring a valid ID and a sense of adventure!
    • Ages 13 to 17 can throw with an accompanying parent or guardian and anyone 18 and older can throw with a valid ID. No one 12 and under is allowed in the venue – no exceptions.
    • Liability waiver is required for all participants.
  • Guests will be required to check-in at the venue 10-15 minutes prior to their reservation time. If at least one guest doesn’t check in within 5 minutes of the reserved lane start time, the reservation will be cancelled, without refund, and may be offered to walk-in guests waiting. *PLEASE NOTE: This activity is a ONE HOUR commute from Asheville
  • We have snack foods available to purchase. If you want something more, local pizzerias deliver to our venue and we have menus on site.

One Free Adult Nantahala River Rafting Trip Every Day of Your Stay.

Nantahala Outdoor Center: Nantahala River Rafting

Nantahala River Rafting from NOC is the best way to experience the river! This trip is a perfect family-friendly rafting experience. The experienced guides will help navigate you through rapids, bouncy waves, and the occasional calmer waters. This fully guided trip is ideal for beginners, families, and groups. The calmer waters will allow you to take in the incredible mountain scenery.

What you need to know
  • All participants must weigh at least 60 pounds OR be 7 years old. All minors (17 and under) require the presence of an adult during whitewater rafting activities.
  • The trip will take approximately 3 hours total with 2 hours spent on the river. The rest of the time will be spent on trip preparation and shuttle.
  • Dress for getting wet and wear shoes that will stay securely on your feet (flip-flops are NOT acceptable footwear). Don’t forget dry clothes and shoes for after your trip. There are changing rooms and pay showers available. In cooler weather, avoid wearing heavy cottons; wear synthetics or wool instead.
  • Gratuity is recommended for your guide.
  • We ask that you do not travel to NOC’s locations if you or a member of your party is ill, exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, or have been recently exposed to COVID-19.
  • Please check in 30 minutes prior to trip time at NOC’s Adventure Center.
  • Present the confirmation number within your Xplorie Order Confirmation to check-in.

Nantahala Outdoor Center: Zip Line Adventure Park

Zip and soar through a unique and exhilarating aerial playground at Nantahala Outdoor Center! The Zip Line Adventure Park uses continuous auto-belay technology which enables you to navigate through 16 different obstacles at 20 and 40 feet high. Zip through the park and tackle unique obstacles at your own pace with the support of expert aerial guides along the way.

What you need to know
  • All participants should weight between 60 and 250 pounds.
  • Wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing.
  • Participants under the age of 15 must have an adult present during the activity. The adult is not required to be an active participant.
  • This activity takes approximately 2 hours including ground school and instruction.
  • NOC’s Zip Line Adventure Park runs rain or shine, except in the event of a thunderstorm.
  • We ask that you do not travel to NOC’s locations if you or a member of your party is ill, exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, or have been recently exposed to COVID-19.
  • Please check-in 45 minutes prior to your trip time.

Biltmore Estate

What you need to know
    • Book all admissions through Xplorie for $5 discount per ticket.
    • Hours of Operation:  9:30 AM – 4:00 PM Sunday – Thursday. 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM Friday and Saturday.
    • The last tour entrance is 1 hour before closing.
    • Arrive at Biltmore House at least 15 minutes prior to your reserved house entry time.
    • Allow for the 45 minutes of drive time between the Admissions Gate, or any other estate location, and Biltmore House.
    • Please note, arriving at the Biltmore house more than 30 minutes past your assigned time and your ticket cannot be honored.
    • Dress comfortably and expect 2 hours to tour the Biltmore House.
    • The first two floors of the Biltmore house are fully wheelchair accessible.
    • There are four specialty gift shops with items such as toys, books, & Christmas items.
    • There are four dining options nearby such as the Courtyard Market, the Sable Cafe, The Bake Shop, and the Ice cream Parlor.

What you need to know
  • Coach Class features open seating in an enclosed car, windows that can be opened for fresh air and taking photos, and are heated and have ceiling fans. In an effort to provide the best viewing experience, passengers will be asked to swap seated sides for the return route.
  • Open Air Gondolas feature open seating in a car with unobstructed views, half-height walls, and a roof above to protect passengers from the elements. In an effort to provide the best viewing experience, passengers will be asked to swap seated sides for the return route.
  • Boxed lunches available for purchase for Coach Class and Open Air Gondolas. Guests will pickup their boxed lunch at the Cafe`.
