With just two employees, paper appointment books, and a fax machine, Amenity Services, Inc. launches with a clear mission: to support the Destin, Florida tourism industry by offering free experiences to guests of local lodging partners.
Keeping pace with the seismic shift in the vacation rental industry – as more and more bookings move online – our expanded call center transitions from paper reservations to a proprietary online system, now powering free activities in destinations across Florida and Alabama.
Following the BP oil spill in April, we sponsor a NASCAR team to help promote the Gulf Coast as open, safe, and ready for visitors. Through oil spills, floods, wildfires, and hurricanes, we pledge support to our partners – including those newly added in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
The Xplorie brand is born, ushering in a new phase of service to our partners. Over the next year, we launch customized online activity micro-sites for each lodging partner, helping guests easily explore available experiences – and reinforcing the value of the management company hosting their stay.
Direct integrations and improved ticketing systems make booking experiences even easier for guests and activity partners. In the next 18 months, Xplorie’s activity programs expand to Oregon, California, Georgia, Hawaii, Arizona, New Mexico, and Massachusetts.
Vacation rentals surge in popularity following the COVID pandemic and Xplorie pivots to a fully remote team to serve the rising demand. To help lodging partners stand out in an increasingly crowded market, we launch new email tools to drive guest engagement through complimentary activities.
As the industry stabilizes to pre-COVID levels, travelers increasingly plan around value and experiences – and Xplorie delivers again. The launch of our online activity booking platform helps lodging partners attract guests, who can now seamlessly discover and reserve experiences alongside their accommodations.
By 2025, Xplorie is trusted by 170+ lodging partners across 70+ U.S. destinations (now including markets in Maryland, Delaware, Missouri, Utah, and Texas) and delivers free-to-guest activity programs that drive revenue for partners – and serve more than 3.6 million guests annually.
